Ocala Government Agencies
Ocala has an effective government at each level. It has a wide variety of local agencies, as well as state and federal agencies. The city has the regular government agencies that include the fire department, transportation, and more. There are also other government agencies that help residents and visitors. These include the license agency that helps in getting marriage licenses, death certificates and birth certificates, the property tax and registration agency and more. There are also agencies for getting a driver’s license, registering a car, getting a social security number and more. The City Council takes the responsibility of matters relating to the passing amendment of laws, resolutions and ordinances. Public hearings are considered important before any decision being taken by the council. The other local government agencies look after the various areas of the functioning in the city. The agencies in the community play a significant role in the development of the social, cultural, political and economic life of the city.
