Dayton Government Agencies
Dayton has an effective government at each level. It has a wide variety of local agencies, as well as state and federal agencies. The city has a strong police force to keep order, social service agencies to provide resources and services to the public, and various educational programs for the youth. The City Council takes the responsibility of matters relating to the passing amendment of laws, resolutions and ordinances. Public hearings are considered important before any decision being taken by the council. The other local government agencies look after the various areas of the functioning in the city. The agencies in the community play a significant role in the development of the social, cultural, political and economic life of the city.
