Providence Schools
The city of Providence is renowned for offering fine education to its residents. Education is given utmost importance which is why there are several notable schools, colleges and universities in the city. Starting from nursery schools to institutions for higher education, Providence has it all. The city has the correct mixture of private and charter schools along with public schools.
There are several high profile schools, college and universities in Providence. Some are Brown University, Providence College, Rhode Island College, Johnson and Wales University and the Rhode Island School of Design. Private and charter schools include Moses Brown, the Lincoln School, the Wheeler School and the LaSalle Academy. The public schools teach around 30,000 students and are served by the Providence Public School District starting from pre-Kindergarten to grade 12. The district is made of 25 elementary schools, 9 middle schools and 13 high schools.
