San Francisco Government Agencies
San Francisco is a consolidated city-county in the state of California. The mayor of the city doubles as the county executive and the city council includes the Board of Supervisors for the county. The Executive Branch of the government is headed by the mayor and the president of the board of supervisors heads the legislative branch.
San Francisco also houses various federal establishments including the Federal Reserve Bank, U.S Court of Appeals and U.S Mint. Campaign ethics and enforcement of the bylaws are handled by the San Francisco Ethics Commission. There are also the fire department and the transportation department of the city that come under the jurisdiction of the government.
