San Jose Schools

San Jose has many schools, colleges, and universities. The largest of them all is the San Jose State University that was founded in 1862. This university has about 30,000 students across the different bachelor's and master's degree programs. The reputation of the school is very good in terms of academics, sports and vocational training. Some of the areas of study include engineering, business, art and design, and journalism.

Some of the other universities in San Jose are the National Hispanic University, the California University of Management and Technology (CALMAT), the Lincoln Law School of San Jose, the University of Silicon Valley Law School, the National University and the Golden Gate University.

The city also has community colleges like the San Jose City College and the Evergreen Valley College.

Vocational institutes like the WestMed College help feed into the requirement for paramedics and medical technicians.

The schools in San Jose are run based on the San Jose Unified School District (SJUSD). However there are also the Milpitas Unified School District, Morgan Hill Unified School District and the Santa Clara Unified School District that also exist.
