Riverside Events
While there is always something that you can attend and enjoy when in Riverside, there are some special signature events of the city that you must keep in mind if you are planning a trip. The Riverside Festival of Lights is celebrated every year a day before Thanksgiving. This is generally arranged at the Mission Inn and includes fireworks, live musicians and animated characters. The event runs till the end of the year and includes carolers, horse drawn carriages, ice skating and loads of gourmet food.
During this festive time there is also the Riverside Festival of Trees that is held at the Convention Center. This is community event that is held to raise funds for the Riverside County Regional Medical Center. The event itself is a contest where numerous professionally decorated trees are evaluated and awarded.
Other events in the city are Riverside Dickens Festival, Riverside Airshow and Riverside International Film Festival.
