Orlando Government Agencies
Orlando’s government is a democratic form of government and is governed by the mayor-council system. The mayor is elected for a period of four years through a vote which is conducted citywide. There are six members in the city council and are elected from different districts. There are different government agencies that manage areas such as businesses, taxes and entertainment. There are numerous agencies that assist new businesses to set up shop here. Today, the city is a high tech industrial giant with many Fortune 1000 companies. The credit of this urbanization goes to the city’s governing body.
