Richmond Events

The Richmond Greek Festival is celebrated in Saint Johns German Evangelical Church. Popular among those fond of the performing arts, the French Film Festival is held at the Byrd Theater each year. At the Dogwood Dell amphitheater in Byrd Park, the Richmond Department of Recreation and Parks celebrates the annual Festival of the Arts. A large number of free outdoor festivals and concerts are also organized during spring and summer at Brown's Island. Some of the popular ones include the weekly Friday Cheers concert and the James River Beer and Seafood Festival. While the Richmond Coliseum hosts many sporting events, it is also a location for many concerts and fests too.
