The juxtaposition of ancient monuments along with modern day buildings can lend to a sense of opposites in the city, which creates unique perspectives of modern life in Richmond. It is fun to see older photographs and compare them with recent ones to understand the manner in which the city has progressed over the years.

The splash of colors in the Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens and the beauty of the butterflies that frequent there along with the magnificence of the James River in the fall are things worth taking a look at.
